Sachin’s half day leave request

And BJP treasurer’s fatherly duties

GN Bureau | March 15, 2013

Sachin Tendulkar sought permission from chairman of Rajya Sabha on Friday to grant him leave for the first half of union budget session as he was busy with cricket. The entire house said ‘yes’ to allow him leave.
Another Rajya Sabha MP SM Krishna former union minister for external affairs also wrote to chairman to seek leave. Krishna was also granted leave.

BJP treasure’s fatherly duties
Piyush Goyal, the treasurer of BJP, has conveyed to the party president, Rajnath Singh, to relieve him and find another suitable person for the post. The reason for this is Goyal’s son. Like a responsible father, Goyal is busy teaching his son for higher education. But creation of wealth for the party will be a major task in view of the Lok Sabha polls. Goyal’s father Ved Prakash Goyal was the treasurer of BJP for many years. In all means, LK Advani will ensure convincing Goyal, an eminent chartered accountant, to continue as the party’s treasurer.
