India’s youth power has never been on such display as in the last couple of years. Proving cynics wrong, the gen next has shown they are as much – if not more – concerned about the nation as any other generation.

And rightly so, given the changing demographic profile and the country becoming young.

Take, for example, the youth response to Oursay; a social enterprise that asks people to submit questions to a website and then asks them to vote on these questions. The most popular questions are then put to decision makers.

Gautam Raju, director of Oursay, told ABC news: "Young people have been so excited and interested and engaged in what we are trying to do," he said.
