39 laptops free of cost to SSLC toppers

Madurai collector distributes free laptops to students

Thirty nine laptops were distributed to SSLC toppers of schools in the city under the state government's free laptop scheme to students.

District Collector C Kamaraj distributed the laptops to the students.

An official press release today said the state government distributes free laptops all over the state every year to students who choose Tamil as the first language and score highest marks in 10th standard.

This year 39 students from various schools in Madurai were selected and laptops distributed to them at the District Collectorate here last evening, it said.
