Deora promises govt support for early revival of ITI

Deora discussed issues relating to financial performance, manpower, diversification, assured government's support for early revival of ITI

Minister of State for Communication and Information Technology Milind Deora on Saturday reviewed the strategy for revival of state-run telecom equipment maker ITI with its senior executives.

"We have to revive and we want to revive ITI," he told senior executives of ITI at a presentation held on the company's revival strategy, a company release said.

The minister discussed issues relating to financial performance, manpower, Research and Development and diversification and assured government's support for early revival of ITI.

Later, Deora inaugurated a gas plant set up by ITI. The plant converts bio-degradable waste such as kitchen waste, food waste, dry leaves, garden waste into combustible organic natural gas comprising of methane with 90 to 94 per cent purity.
