CSIR implementing Rs 20 Crores project for organizational change

The e-Governance initiatives of CSIR will facilitate faster disposal of day to day problems thereby sparing their executives to attend most specific problems which requires human intellectual inputs,a senior official said here today.

The CSIR Transformation project that is currently being executed at a cost of Rs.20 crore will bring in organizational changes thereby providing proactive and intelligent workplace for carrying out innovative research in CSIR's 37 laboratories which would benefit Indian Science, K.Jayakumar, Joint Secretary,Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, said.

He was speaking on the topic:Embedding Reconfigurable Human Computer Interface Solutions in Enterprise Application Architectures leveraging Rapid Design Prototyping paradigm on the 63rd Foundation Day of the Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI), Karaikudi.

He also said young researchers can take advantage of CSIR labs for pursuing higher research for which cabinet has given nod for setting up Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research(AcSIR).

Earlier Dr.V.Yegnaraman, Director, CECRI, briefed about the ongoing research programmes of CECRI especially in the area of solar energy, batteries technology and chemicals.

Dr.N.Palaniswamy, Director grade scientist, and Dr.Syed Azim also spoke.
