Nandan Nilekani to head the advisory panel on unique projects

Finance minister in his budget speech 2010-11 has proposed to setup a technology advisory group for unique projects under the chairmanship of UIDAI chief, Nandan Nilekani.

The group will look into various technological and systemic issues in the establishment of unique projects to ensure an effective tax administration and financial governance system.

The minister called for creation of IT projects which are reliable, secure and efficient and mentioned that  IT projects like tax information network (TIN), new pension scheme, national treasury management agency, expenditure information network, goods and service tax, are in different stages of roll out.
