Haryana to digitilise revenue records

Intends to develop a modern, comprehensive and transparent land records management system in the state to implement the conclusive land titling system with title guarantee

The Haryana government has implemented a project for digitising and updating the entire revenue record of the state by using high resolution satellite imageries.

The main objective of the project was to develop a modern, comprehensive and transparent land records management system in the state to implement the conclusive land titling system with title guarantee based on four basic principles which include a single window to handle land records, including the maintenance and updating of textual records, maps, survey and settlement operations and registration of immovable property, an official spokesman said here today.

The project would be implemented through Haryana Space Application Centre (HARSAC), Hisar which is the nodal agency in the state for remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) related work, he added.

All the mussavies available at the district headquarters would be digitised in an GIS environment and the same would be updated by the respective village patwaries using the sajra maps and other land records available with them, he said.

Updated maps would be geo-referenced, using the benchmark ground control points being identified and fixed in the entire state, he added. Finally a seamless database of the land records would be prepared for the entire state, he said.
