The Haryana Government today said it has decided to raise the ceiling on personal computer or lap top loans admissible to its employees from existing Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000.

While stating this here today, a spokesperson of the Finance Department said that any government employee drawing revised pay in any pay band would be eligible for the loan.

He said that the loan would be given once every 10 years during the service of the employees. It would be recoverable with interest in 75 equal monthly installments.

He added that the prescribed rate of interest for the second and third advance would be one per cent and two per cent, respectively, above the normal rate of interest on personal computer or lap top advance, prevailing at the point in time for disbursement.

He said that any subsequent advance on this account could be applied only after clearing the recovery and repayment liability of the proceeding account and No Due Certificate (NDC) to this effect should be issued by the competent authority.
