HCL Infosystems buys 60% stake in Dubai's NTS Grp for $6.5 mn

NTS will be re-named HCL Infosystems MEA

IT firm HCL Infosystems today said it has acquired 60 per cent stake in Dubai-based IT services firm NTS Group for USD 6.5 million.

"We have acquired 60 per cent stake in NTS for USD 6.5 million. The move will help us expand our footprint globally and tap the Middle East and African markets," HCL Infosystems Executive Vice-President George Paul said.

NTS provides computer hardware, enterprise software solutions, infrastructure and networking solutions, e-security solutions and web development services.

"This will also provide us access to large clients like Etisalat, Emaar, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Doha Bank and Dubai Police," Paul said.

Post the acquisition of majority stake, NTS will be re-named HCL Infosystems MEA.

Set up in 2004, NTS Group has four offices in the United Arab Emirates and has over 100 technology and support specialists.
