India-Brazil-South Africa web portal on public administration launched

Portal to create knowledge base for sharing IBSA experiences

The India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) web portal on public administration was launched here today under IBSA Cooperation Programme in the field of public administration and governance.

The web portal, launched by by Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances Secretary R C Misra, is a virtual centre of excellence in public administration and a wide-ranging web based resource and interactive platform for the IBSA partners to facilitate exchange of ideas and knowledge on public administration among them.

"The purpose of the web portal is to create a knowledge base for sharing IBSA experiences and best practices in the field of public administration and development related issues," a government press release said here.

It was a tripartite launch with Brazil and South Africa on board.

Brazil ENAP President Helena Kerr do Amaral, the launch of the web-portal and stated that it is a strong forum for sharing best practices of all the three countries.

South Africa Public Service and Administration Chief Operations Officer Diamond Mushwna said the web portal is a significant achievement under IBSA cooperation programme for exchange and sharing of experiences on issues in governance and development.

The three countries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their trilateral cooperation through the IBSA forum and the web portal is a significant step for mutual cooperation in the field of public administration and governance, providing further impetus to the already growing relationship among them, the release added.
