Karaikal police moots cyber-crime wing

Sent recommendations to the Puducherry Government

The Karaikal Police have sent a recommendation to the Puducherry Government to set up cyber-crime wing in the district.

Speaking to reporters, Superintendent of Police I.R.C.

Mohan said that the district police had sent a recommendation to the Government to set up a cyber-crime wing, bomb detection and disposal squad and a forensic wing at Karaikal.

Stating that the police force in the district was being modernised, Mohan said that all police stations were being provided with motor cycles for effective patrol.

The Coastal Security Group at Karaikal will get two new patrol boats soon, said Mohan.
