Land records could get online soon

Decision to replicate project in state after studying the success of pilot project in Mulshi in Pune district

 Maharashtra Principal Secretary (Revenue) Swadhin Kshatriya has said that after studying the success of pilot project in Mulshi in Pune district, the information and records about land would be made available online across the state.

Effecting changes in the record -- land mutation -- is a long process, but with digitisation, it would be faster, he said here last week.

At Mulshi, the information relating to land matters registered with the registrar is put online instantly, he said.

After inspecting the project, decision to implement it in other parts of Maharashtra would be taken, he said.
