Maharashtra mulls online typewriting exam

Typewriting and shorthand exams in Maharashtra may be conducted online in future as the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE) has submitted a proposal to the state ministry of education for the same. The move has been lauded by the Maharashtra State Association of Shorthand and Tywriting.

However, the applicants will have to pass a typewriting exam of completing 30 words per minute before qualifying for the online exam.

Typewriting and shorthand exams come under the Government Commercial Certificate Examinations. At present, there are 2,77,000 typewriting and shorthand students in the state.
