Pilot to lead Indian group to cyber security meet in London

Conference will be held on November 1-2 by British Foreign Secretary William Hague, Hillary Clinton and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt

Minister of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot will lead the Indian delegation at the International Cyber Conference in London, which aims to deliberate on issues like economic and social benefits of cyber space and tackling cyber crime.

To be held on November 1-2, the conference will be attended by British Foreign Secretary William Hague, the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt among others.

"The conference will deliberate issues related to economic and social benefits of cyber space, anticipating, preventing and tackling cyber crime and international implications of actions in cyber space," a statement said today.

The Indian delegation would comprise senior officials from the Department of IT, the National Security Council and the Ministry of External Affairs.
