Six domestic companies amongst nine shortlisted for UID contract

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has shortlisted nine companies for the managed services provider (MSP) contract to implement and manage the central information data repository (CIDR) of UIDAI.
The companies include Accenture, HCL Infosystem, HP India, HCL technologies, IBM India, Mahindra Satyam, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Wipro. The companies were evaluated on basis of the expersion of interest (EOI) submitted by them. As a next step the UID will ask these shortlisted companies to respond to a request for proposal (RFP) document.
UID in past has selected Ernst & Young, Mindtree and Mahindra Satyam lead consortium for various projects.
