In a bid to tackle the rising menace of fake Aadhaar cards being issued, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has allowed for verification of card details by citizens on its website eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
 
According to a report published in Deccan Chronicle, all the Aadhaar details have been uploaded on the UIDAI portal and can be accessed only after the particular card holder permits it.
 
In the recent times, several cases of misuse of Aadhar cards and fake ones being issued have come to light. The move, UIDAI claims, will significantly bring down the chances of leaking out valuable information using the portal.
