Himachal Police on Thursday launched their website Kanoon Vyavastha, facilitating online payment of challans.

The portal would be beneficial especially for tourists, who can file complaints and challans online and track the status online.

It contains many other features like online foreigner's registration, complaints, FIRs and other functions.

DGP I D Bhandari said the portal would provide the police services to the people of the state at their doorstep without any delay and ensure more transparency and help check corruption.

He also said that Himachal Police would soon start the 'neighbourhoods watch' scheme to protect the houses in this capital town from thefts especially when large number of locals go to plains during winters, leaving their houses unprotected.
