BHEL to pay 79% dividend for fiscal 2016-17, highest in last three years

BHEL achieves double digit growth in its top line in 2016-17 fiscal

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has proposed an equity dividend of 79% (including 40% interim dividend paid earlier) for 2016-17 fiscal.

This is four times of the dividend paid in the previous year and also the highest dividend to be paid by the Maharatna enterprise in the last three years.

Notably, in 2016-17 fiscal, BHEL has achieved double digit growth in its top line and bounced back into profit. During the year, it posted recorded turnover of Rs 28,840 crore, up by 11 percent over the previous year.
