NMDC inks two pacts

An agreement aims to optimise high concentration iron ore concentrate slurry pipelines

 The state-run iron ore miner NMDC Ltd and Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) Bhubaneswar have signed a pact for development of modeling & optimisation of high concentration iron ore concentrate slurry pipelines for Indian iron ore processing industries.

The agreement is aimed to develop a measurement procedure.  The results will be extended to Indian iron ore processing industries particularly to NMDC for designing, testing and simulation of their futuristic iron ore slurry pipeline transportation systems. 
 
The ministry of steel and NMDC would contribute Rs 2.125 crore each.
 
A second research cooperation pact was inked between NMDC and IIT Bhubaneswar for establishing an advanced research laboratory on optimisation of Silos, Bins and Hoppers designs through modeling. The project has been taken under the Uchchatar Avishkar Yojana.
