SAIL’s three cadets win scholarship under Khelo India Talent Identification Development scheme

Sports Authority of India Limited has selected 734 budding sportspersons from across the country

Three cadets of Hockey Academy of SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant have clinched Sports Authority of India’s scholarship under Khelo India Talent Identification Development scheme.

The cadets were selected on the basis of their performance in the National Coaching Camps.

Sports Authority of India Limited has selected 734 budding sportspersons from across the country from various disciplines. Out of the Rs 5 lakh grant given to each cadet per annum, a stipend of Rs 1.2 lakhs for the whole year will be given to them. The players will be supported for a maximum of eight years. The players will receive skill trainings at Khelo India accredited academies.
