Former Governance Now editor’s new assignment

Ajay Kumar Singh, who has been the editorial director of Governance Now, has been appointed the press secretary of the president of India.
The decision was made by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet headed by prime minister Narendra Modi on Monday. The appointment will be on contract for one year or until further orders, according to a statement of the department of personnel and training (DoPT).
During his long career, Singh has worked with a number of leading newspapers and TV channels. He was also the editor of Governance Now, and executive editor of First Post.
