Aruna Roy backs Hazare's protest

But says demands have to be upgraded

NAC member and prominent RTI activist Aruna Roy has backed a beefed-up Lokpal Bill, according to a letter released by the Mazdoor Kisan Shakthi Sangathan.

In the letter, Roy, Nikhil Dey and Shankar Singh endorse Anna Hazare's campaign to for the fast-track passing of a strengthened Jan Lok Pal Bill saying, "We support the concern expressed by people all over the country against growing corruption and the impunity of those who are guilty of indulging in corrupt practices. We therefore appreciate the efforts of Anna Hazare and his campaign in highlighting this issue, and creating a groundswell of support for a strong Jan Lok Pal Bill."
