BJP voiced its discontent with the Bhopal GoM recommendations - Madhya Pradesh deputy chief minister Babulal Gaur, a member of the GoM conveyed the party's displeasure at the end of the meeting on Monday saying that the party thinks that the compensation package announced will be inadequate.

Gaur also vented the state government's dissatisfaction on the compensation amount.

While the home minister P chidambaram, also heading the GoM, took notice of Gaur's complaints, he also asked him to refrain from making his grievances public in front of the media instead of voicing them at teh GoM meeting itself.

The cabinet note on the GoM recommedations runs into  359 pages dealing with relief and rehabilitation process.

Though it is like a backgrounder, the data in the cabinet note were taken mostly from the Court rulings and Union Carbide correspondences between Centre and Carbide.
