UP govt to take legal action against pvt medical college

Officials have been asked to inspect hospitals and review arrangement of bio-medical waste disposal

The Uttar Pradesh government today directed officials to initiate legal proceedings against a private medical college here for improper bio-medical waste disposal.

The decision in this regard was taken at a meeting chaired by Environment Minister Nakul Dubey, an official release said here today.

The officials were asked to initiate legal proceedings against Era Medical College and also against brick kilns operating without NOC in different parts of the state.

The minister further asked officials to inspect hospitals and review arrangement of bio-medical waste disposal and initiate action against them, if needed.
