Taking a dig at Congress, JD(U) today said the arrest of its secretary Sagar Rayka and Bihar youth wing chief Lalan Kumar for possessing cash allegedly to influence voters.

''The seizure of cash from Congress leaders from a hotel at Barauni, barely a few days after huge amount seized from another party leader at the airport here has once again brought to the focus the real face and character of the grand old party,'' JD(U) General Secretary Shivanand Tiwari said.

There was, however, nothing to be surprised over such development, he said and recalled the bribery case for saving the erstwhile Narasimha Rao government at the Centre.

''In fact, Congress is responsible for all ills plaguing politics in India,'' he alleged.
