Karunanidhi summons DMK MPs to Chennai

Will draw up strategy on nuke liability bill

Tamil Nadu chief minister and DMK chief M Karunanidhi has summoned party MPs in Chennai on Tuesday to discuss the nuclear liability bill, a common entrance test for medical students other political issues.

DMK of late has not been comfortable with the Congress. Senior DMK leaders suspect that Congress is playing a 'double game' as the Tamil Nadu assembly elections are nearing. Serious differences have cropped up between DMK and the Congress. Press statements by senior Tamil Nadu Congress leaders about DMK have also added fuel to the fire.

In parliament the ease with which DMK MPs and Congress MPs from the state used to relate with each other is now fading.

Karunanidhi is expected to sort out such issues in the Tuesday meeting.
