Madhya Pradesh government has endorsed the transfer policy 2011-12 for its officers and employees.

As per the policy, transfers can be effected from April 20-June 7, an official release said here today.

A decision in this regard was taken at the state cabinet meeting chaired by chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan last evening.

Disciplinary action will be taken as per rules against officers or employees who do not join the place of their new posting after getting relieved of their charge following the transfer by taking undue advantage of joining time.

The database of the transferred employee will be sent to the concerning treasury within seven days of his getting relieved of his charge.

As per the recommendation of Manthan-2009, provision has been made for maximum five-year posting of field staff of Home Department in one district during his entire service period.

In context of this recommendation, the home department has been given exemption in the new transfer policy from percentage fixed for the number of workforce of posts and cadres.

The general administration department will make the postings of state administrative service officers in the districts.

Within the district, deputy collector/joint collector will be posted in the sub-division by the collector in consultation with the minister in-charge.

Three-year exemption from transfer will be given to the employees appointed as office-bearers of district or state level employees' organisations, which are authorised to correspond with the state government from the date of their appointment.

Such employee office-bearers will also be transferred after they complete three years in a posting.

Those government officers/employees, whose sons or daughters have mental disability or multiple disabilities, would be given the option of getting posted to a place of their choice, where facilities of treatment and education of their handicapped child are easily available.

Such employees will have to produce appropriate certificate from a recognised institution.

Relaxation in transfer ban period for educationdDepartments has been given up to June 15, 2011 in place of May 31, 2011.

The provision about posting, as far as possible, of women employees on higher posts in the 14 districts having poor sex ratio, has been continued in this year's transfer policy also like previous year, the release said.
