Opposition leader in the lok sabha and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on Monday  took a thinly-veiled dig at her fellow party senior and public accounts committee (PAC) chairman Murli Manohar Joshi on Twitter, raising questions on the mandate of the PAC.

She had earlier said on the popular social networking website that the PAC was not empowered to summon ministers under the lok sabha rules and therefore the prime minister's offer to appear before the body was void.

Joshi, however, stated to the contrary on Monday saying that the PAC had no limitations over its mandate and would be investigating the NDA telecom policy as well. In response Swaraj tweeted, “The scope of PAC is totally different from that of JPC. While PAC deals with accounts, JPC deals with accountability and governance.”

In her latest post on Twitter she had indicated that BJP will be attending speaker Meira Kumar's all-party meeting on December 30. Kumar has called the meeting to end the parliament impasse over opposition's JPC-on-2G demand which resulted in the least productive session in the history of Parliament ever.
